NOTE: PARENTS PLEASE DO NOT FILL OUT THE APPLICATION! The application needs to be completed by the student. The goal is to have the student experience what it is like to gather information for an application.

The Cherokee College Prep Institute is a weeklong college-readiness program that connects high school juniors and seniors with university representatives from across the nation. The program will be held at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK during the week of July 14-19, 2019.

During the program, students will analyze, prepare and complete college applications, identify scholarship opportunities and explore schools of interest. They will also take part in interactive sessions focusing on, essay writing, interview skills and time management.

  1. Short Answers: Keep responses between 100-250 words.
    • Extra Curricular: Besides your academic record, what leadership, extracurricular, volunteer, family, Tribal, cultural, or community work are most important to you? List any awards, activities, arts, sports, leadership positions, family or tribal responsibilities, work, summer programs, etc. Only include activities from 9th-11th grade.
